NEW - Philips AVENT BPA-Free Feeding Bottles

Philips AVENT has introduced a new BPA-free feeding bottle range, giving parents even greater choice.

At Philips AVENT, we know that when your baby feels unsettled and irritable (commonly referred to as fussing) it can sometimes signify the onset of colic.

The new Philips AVENT feeding bottles are clinically proven to reduce colic* and help settle your baby, especially at night**.

As your baby feeds, the unique skirt on the AVENT Teat flexes to allow air into the bottle instead of your baby’s tummy.

A recent clinical study into the minutes of fussing over a 24 hour period proved that, compared to other feeding bottles, infants fed using the new BPA-free bottles were significantly more settled, especially at night (6pm-6am).

The new feeding bottles are BPA-free:

Philips AVENT Durable Feeding Bottle

Made of a semi transparent material called Polypropylene (PP). It features a two piece anti-colic system which consists of the AVENT Teat and adapter ring.

The adapter ring is an essential part of the bottle design and must always be used.

Philips AVENT Extra Durable Feeding Bottle

Made from a material called Polyether Sulphone (PES), making it highly durable and easy to clean.

This bottle is easily distinguishable by its natural honey-coloured tint.

For both feeding bottles:

The soft, naturally shaped teat promotes proper latch-on, making it easy to combine breast and bottle feeding. The Teat is designed to work with a baby's natural feeding action allowing the baby to control the milk flow. Designed for stability and comfort, the bottle's waisted shape is easier to hold and its wide-neck design makes filling easy.

Please note that:

  • Breast milk is the best nutrition for babies. Exclusive breastfeeding is recommended for the first 6 months of life. Breastfeeding can continue during and beyond the introduction of solid foods.
  • When you are breastfeeding, good nutrition is vital for you and your baby. Continue with the varied and healthy diet you were following during pregnancy and try not to skip meals.
  • Combining breast and bottle feeding can affect your breast milk supply.
  • If you decide not to breastfeed, this decision may be difficult to reverse if you change your mind.
  • For further advice on feeding options, always contact your health visitor or midwife.
